Forsaken

The Forsaken, officially known as The Forsaken (Bhutan), is a heavy metal band based in Thimphu. The band was formed out of the ashes of three bands, namely The Low Profile Sunday, The Demon Nomads and Sanctum. The members came together for the ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition in June 2013 and they decided to carry on after winning the competition. The band mostly plays at Mojo Park but have also played other venues such as the Clocktower, Changlimithang stadium and Nehru-Wangchuck Cultural Centre.

The band recently represented Bhutan at Delhi for the South Asian Bands Festival 2014 and played alongside bands such as Indus Creed, Alobo Naga and many others. They are also one of the organizers of the Painkiller fest, a rock and roll festival held annually in Thimphu.

Though the band mostly cover songs of their favorite bands, they are currently working on a five-song EP titled ‘Broken Delusions’ and have a few originals under their belt.
